Jackass Number Two

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Jackass Number 2, Chris Pontius — also known as Party Boy — will be hosting a special screening and Q&A here at Rio, in collaboration with WESN, on July 3! Jackass has been a cultural phenomenon since the series first aired on MTV between 2000 and 2002. Since then, the franchise has expanded to include four feature films, several TV specials, and various spin-off series. Despite its undeserved reputation for controversial and irresponsible bro culture, Jackass has always had a warmth and innocence to it. The palpable joy of pulling off the wildest and most absurd stunts imaginable draws a direct line from the early slapstick tradition of Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton to the antics of Johnny Knoxville, Chris Pontius, Steve-O, and the rest of the crew.
